Our newly launched Thursday Wine tasting is taking place again this week showcasing our wines by the bottle only but this time by the glass and our favorite music on the playlist.
This is what we are tasting by the glass this Thursday:
Eric Bordelet, Sidre Tendre (NV) Cider - Sparkling
Extremely aromatic with notes of honeyed fruit and baked apple. Persistent, but small bubbles. Great as aperitif, with a cheese course or dessert.
Stafford Hill, Sauvignon Blanc Willamette Valley (2020)
The nose provides bright pineapple & lemon aromas. The palate shows rich, ripe tropical fruit flavors, leading to a mouthwatering finish with ample acidity.
Château Lamothe de Haux, Cadillac Côtes De Bordeaux (2017)
60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc grapes
This traditional blend benefits from the various components each variety and terroir bring to the table: Merlot grown in clay adds richness and supple tannins, Cabernet Sauvignon grown in hot, gravelly soil brings structure and tannin for aging, and Cabernet Franc contributes fruitiness and finesse.
Bedrock Wine Company, Old Vine Zinfandel Sonoma Valley (2019)
"Raised in a wide variety of French and Austrian barrels, puncheons, and foudres (about 10% new) and only racked at bottling, this wine has a dark core of perfumed, dense fruit. This is a classic California Zinfandel and will go down as one of the best Old Vine bottlings we have made. The fulcrum of this wine is based around our estate vineyards, with much of it coming from Bedrock (planted in 1888), Nervo (1896), and Sodini (1905) in Sonoma County along with Evangelho (1890s) and Katushas’ (1915), with the remainder coming from Teldeschi, Pagani, Old Hill, and Enz Vineyard."
