Grant was a huge influence on guitarists, from George Benson to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Still to this day guitarists try to get his signature sound, Idle Moments is considered one of the top 100 jazz albums of all time.

Matt Michaud, guitar-John Troy, alto-Bob Sneider, guitar-Paul LaDuca, bass-Mike Melito, drums

Matt Michaud is a guitarist and educator who has 20 years teaching experience. He’s had multiple international tours as a performer and holds degrees in both Jazz and Classical guitar, including a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from University of Colorado - Boulder. In addition to private teaching, Matt teaches college music courses at Salisbury University and a University of Maryland Eastern Shore. His approach as an instructor includes finding creative ways to use current technology as a tool to help students reach their musical goals. Matt believes in helping his students achieve their musical goals in a way that is both methodical and fun. He always allows the student to pick whatever stylistic direction they choose, and assists them in executing the music they are passionate about on the guitar.
